In a bid to help students during the COVID-19 Pandemic
In its Adopt-A-School Program, the school that finally received the grant was Don Vicente Rama Elementary School- Special Education Center. According to him, it was one of the eight schools in Cebu Province to be nominated for being the beneficiary. The other nominated schools for the Program were Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center, Toong Integrated School, Kamanggahan Elementary School, Hipodromo Elementary School, Bulacao Community School, Estaca Integrated School, and Inayawan Night High School.
Each school was given a priority project on the basis of which Don Vicente Rama Elementary School- Special Education Center was voted for and chosen. As a surprise, he adds, all of these eight schools received multiple computers. The company is optimistic that this donation will help struggling students during the Pandemic. It highly looks forward to continuing with its efforts of strategic community partnerships targeted at creating a social impact that is multi-generational in nature.
Creating awareness during the COVID-19 Pandemic with a vaccination survey
OfficePartners360 recently administered an extensive to determine and address the COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy at the workplace. As per the results of the survey, 69 percent of the respondents were hesitant to receive the vaccine. In order to address their concerns, OP360 rolled out a COVID-19 Vaccination Information Bulletin to encourage vaccination and clear doubts.
In order to carry out the above survey, the company has entered into a partnership with Project BalikBuhay and the Office of The Presidential Assistant for the Visayas for registering employees for free COVID-19 vaccination. Other private companies have also joined this public-private partnership that is unique to the Cebu City in the Philippines.
Dave Highbloom says that 640 of OP360 employees got registered for vaccination until now due to these efforts. This number is 48 percent higher than expected based on the original vaccination survey. The Safety & Health Team of OP360 will coordinate the rollout of the vaccine. The company is now waiting for the final schedule pertaining to the vaccination site.
It will give priority to employees with comorbidities registered as per the National Vaccination Guidelines. The second round of registration has already been scheduled to cater to its additional staff. Besides the above, the company is creating awareness about COVID-19 safety measures among its present employees to mitigate the risks of infection in a pandemic-stricken world.
